InteSols have been engaged by Interface Rail Engineering to develop an online timesheet management system with integration with the accounting system. Interface has several consultants working on multiple client sites. As the company was growing, management decided to automate the manual processes.

Our strategy and solution

We started with the analysis of the current processes, getting to understand the issues and objectives. Then we facilitated workshops with client team to understand the new requirements in details which provide input to deliver software requirement document and mock-ups with the actual PDF report output.

After few iterations once the requirements documents and design mock-ups were approved, we commenced with the development of the system. Once successfully tested internally and by the client the system was released.

Few meetings with the client gave us insight on the overall requirements of the website and ultimate goals of the business. We provided design mock-ups and software requirement document so that we can clearly communicate our understanding and seek client’s approval.

Once requirements documents and mock-ups were approved, we designed the system and started the development. As online solution require greater level of testing we conducted few rounds of system (incl. payment processing) and end to end testing before handing it over to client for UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
