Facebook introduces sound notification, and here is how to turn it off!

The Social Media giant Facebook is known to carry on new experiments and adding new features to its social media platform

Keeping alive its tradition of experiments to improve user experience, Facebook recently introduced another new feature known as Facebook sound notification – and audible notification on your timeline that will alert you whenever new notification is appeared on your notification tab on timeline.

The Facebook sound notification sounds annoying to users!

Facebook’s new sound notification has left many users in surprise, many in anger because it sounds annoying to them and they are frustrated and angry that Facebook didn’t seek their permission or approval prior to implementing it into onto their profiles.

How to turn off Facebook sound notification?

Step 1: Login to your facebook account, click on gear icon (setting icon) on the top-right side of your browser.

Step 2: Click on Account Setting.

Step 3: On the left panel, click on Notification.

Step 4: then on the notification setting page, unchecke the tick mark from the box that says ‘Play a sound…’ and then hit the ‘Save Changes’ button and you will get rid off the sound notification.

Some are happy and some are angry with this new Facebook sound notification feature. But Facebook, as it says, is continuing and will for sure, continue to carry on experiments and introducing new features in the future like it introduced Facebook Graph Search and new privacy tool in recent past times.
