Google+ v/s Facebook: Star Wars on the Cloud!
Google+ or Google Plus! You must have heard the much buzzed word at the moment. And if you have heard this, you probably also have heard about the Star Wars between Google+ and Facebook on the cloud of internet.
Facebook has been doubtlessly dominating the social networking cloud or the era on the internet with overall user base being more than 750 billion. But it’s now time to taste some stiffer competition with the beta launch of Google+, the latest social networking flavor from the internet giant!
So what’s the difference (and similarities!) at all?
However there is no difference at one sense; they both are social networking giants. But on the other hand, there is a bunch of differences in between them. Let’s take a look at some of them.
- Google+ calls it Circle to which Facebook knows as Friend’s List
- You can drag & drop friends to/from circle in Google+ whereas there is no such facility for Facebook’s Friend List.
- There is a facility to share your content (whether pictures, videos or link or any other stuff!) with specific friends in both Google+ and Facebook.
- Google+ calls it Stream to which is known as News Feed in Facebook. You can update your status and can get updated with your Circle’s (or Friend’s) Status too!
- Google+ Hangout: The most amazing feature is enough capable to lash out Facebook’s popularity even though Facebook has integrated Video Calling. Using Google+ Hangout you can make video calls up to 10 friends simultaneously whereas in Facebook this number is limited to only 1!
- Another great thing about Google+ is that it works fine in all major OS such as Windows, Linux, Mac, Ubuntu, Chrome etc. But when it comes to Facebook, Ubuntu and Chrome OS seat out of the list!
- Google+ Huddles – Chat on the go! A great chatting application designed by Google Android Mobile OS for Android Mobile Phones, Facebook doesn’t provide any such application but there are a lot of Facebook Chatting Apps available from third party or independent developers in the market.
- Google+ looks forward to launch business profile so as to take a fight against Facebook Pages.
- Questions and Polls: Here thumb goes down for Google+ as it doesn’t provide such facility at the moment but may come out with similar or even greater features as an option to its rival!
- Huh! The list seems so large, so let’s stop talking here, because it’s time to Hangout with friends (either on Facebook or on Google+!)
